Hardboard Paintings I enjoy painting on hardboard and prefer it to canvas. Hardboard is man made using hard wood that is pressed together. It is quite thin, usually 1/8 inch thick but is quite sturdy. It is commonly called "Masonite" You will receive the painting matted and ready to be framed. I use EPA certified boards which means for every tree that a company harvests, they plant two to replace it. Click on a picture to view a close-up. Price List below
